NetX StrongMesh Overview
The NetX™ StrongMeshWireless system includes our 2nd and 3rd generation thermostats, our mesh wireless components, and several different network controllers/schedulers. It's a favorite customer solution for a wide variety of HVAC control needs where secure wireless communications are needed but Wi-Fi is impractical or not available.
The StrongMesh™ ecosystem has been supported since 2008, and the NetX Command Center software for Windows and the NetX-Web Cloud Service (3rd party) are both still available for your use.
NT-IPXB End of Life

All StrongMesh systems require a Network Controller/Scheduler, the NT-IPXB, and it is reaching its end of life. The NT-IPXB is the current replacement for previously available units listed below.

Components used in the NT-IPXB are no longer available. Once these units are sold no additional units can be manufactured.
StrongMesh Communications End Of Life

We have inventory available for the StrongMesh products, but the components used in the WCM-2 (wireless coordinator), and WBM-1 (wireless backplate) are no longer available for us to build more units. Once these units are sold, no additional units can be manufactured.
What does this mean for current NetX StrongMesh system users?
Software: We are continuing our NetX-Web service and PC Software.
Hardware: We have a limited inventory of NT-IPXBs, WCM-2, and WBM-1 Backplates. We recommend purchasing one or more replacement components as spares, including the NT-IPXB network controller, WCM-2 wireless coordinator, and WBM-1 wireless backplates.

WCM-2 End of Life
The WCM-2 Wireless Coordinator Module is the heart of the StrongMesh wireless network. You may have one or more of these in your system.
WBM-1 End of Life
The WBM-1 StrongMesh Wireless backplate is the 'wireless' half of a StrongMesh thermostat. Every GE22-SM, HP32-SM, or US32-SM StrongMesh thermostat has a WBM-1 StrongMesh Wireless backplate.
Continued Availability of Thermostats (the Faceplate)
The X5N-NX thermostat is the new color touchscreen replacement of all of the previous StrongMesh faceplates This thermostat faceplate is compatible with your current WBM-1 StrongMesh communicating backplate. We will continue to offer the X5N-NX thermostat for the foreseeable future.
The X5N-NX thermostat can be used as a direct faceplate replacement while continuing to use the older wireless backplate for the following thermostats.
