Network Thermostat Announces The Addition Of Dect/ULE Wireless Sensor Network To The NetX Thermostats

Grapevine, TX, 01/01/2023 – Network Thermostat™, a leading provider of connected thermostat solutions for facility energy management and building automation, announced today the addition of its DECT/ULE wireless sensors and wireless network for all NetX™ X7 Series color touchscreen commercial Wi-FI and Ethernet smart thermostats.

This new patent-pending wireless sensor network can be added to any Network Thermostat X7 Wi-Fi and Ethernet touchscreen thermostats. By adding the optional plug-in NT-MOD-ULE (DECT/ULE host module), the X7 thermostat can wirelessly gather sensor data for alerting and control. Dozens of wireless sensors can be added to an X7, including the NT-URS-ULE universal wireless remote sensor which can be configured for up to 6 indoor temperature/humidity sensors, an outdoor temp/humidity sensor, two digital input sensors, up to 10 water leak sensors, and up to 7 auxiliary temperature sensors. The system can also accept up to 16 door/window contact sensors and up to 10 occupancy sensors from third-party manufacturers.

The NetX™ team has worked very hard to implement this powerful technology into our NetX ecosystem. This product enhancement is a true game-changer for deploying HVAC-related sensors and other commercial building sensor needs, allowing push-button linking to the X7 thermostat. With our technology, installation technicians no longer have to spend valuable time pulling sensor cabling throughout a building, saving precious labor and deployment expense.” Jerry Drew, Network Thermostat founder, and CEO

These sensors operate on the powerful DECT dedicated 1.9GHz band, eliminating the need to compete for time/space in shared bands such as 900MHz and 2.4GHz. This solves a fundamental problem of other sensor technologies.

The unique features of the NetX DECT/ULE environment include encrypted communications, multi-year battery life (up to 4-5 years for some devices), working ranges of 150-200 feet (open field range of greater than 2,500 feet), and true push-button linking and interoperability with any other DECT/ULE sensors from any vendor.
